I’m ready for things to start calming down now, I really am. The last week has been quite hectic with the geekdaddy and I really having to work as a team to make sure none of the balls get dropped. We’re hopeful that things are moving in the right direction now, thankfully, so I’m hoping to feel more in control soon! Despite all the chaos I’ve still managed to take at least one picture a day throughout the week – here is my selection:
My daughter has been studying the Great Fire of London at school this term, so as we were in the Capital for the weekend we took the time to take her to visit one of the places she’s been studying – Pudding Lane.
When my son started in Reception this year he was asked to take in a treasure box. A box of things from home – objects, photos etc. The idea being that if he was feeling unsettled he could find something familiar from his box.
Today the box was sent home with him. A clear signal that he’s settled in OK and it isn’t seen as necessary any more. Another milestone for my little man.
We got the letter home from school today to say that my son was now moving under the care of the school nurse rather than the Health Visitor. Another sign that he’s growing up!
I don’t know how it got in, but this evening I had to extract this rather handsome fellow from our kitchen! Not an easy job, I can tell you, but I managed it in the end.
It was very wet for the school run today, so I saw everything from underneath my umbrella.
Happy birthday to my little girl – seven years old today!
We were lucky enough to be allocated tickets to attend the recording of this year’s CBeebies Christmas Pantomime in the draw. So today we headed up to the Lowry in Manchester.
I can’t tell you anything about the show, but suffice it to say we really enjoyed it, and are very much looking forward to watching it again when it it broadcast over Christmas. I love that the CBeebies team make such an event of this show – recording it in a theatre in front of an audience is a great experience for the kids. There were also a variety of activities going on outside the theatre as well, meaning that even those who didn’t get tickets in the ballot could still join in.
If you look carefully you can just see the CBeebies logo on the curtain behind my daughter
