In search of leaves.

Now Sunday is nearly four months old. She has made her preferences gently known over time. She likes a small sleep an hour or so after waking up, to be fed every three hours, and if it can’t be every three hours, closer to two than four. She sleeps twice more during the day but chooses the times herself. She likes to touch the pages when I read to her and if she can’t do that she feels a bit bored and won’t properly listen. She likes a gentle brush of her hair (what is left of it; all her black hair is falling away to be replaced by the mouse that is her birthright). She likes music, baths, nappy changes and silliness from her dad. And most of all she likes inspecting trees, specifically: leaves, and their rustling. The trees in London Fields are sadly quite nude, so yesterday I took her to Kew Gardens. I never would have bothered to go if it weren’t for her. Her interest in things makes them interesting to me. She is my constant companion.
