{Life/Style} Off Duty on Black Friday

Tee – J.Crew (similar) // Jacket – Pray for Mother Earth (similar-ish) // Skirt – Guess? // Shoes – Tory Burch // Bag – Basil Racuk // Earrings – Love & Luxe (similar) // Sunglasses – Fine Arts Optical // Rings – YSL, Oscar de la Renta

I’m usually scared to go shopping on Black Friday, but this year Krystal and Kim convinced me to join them on a trip to Jeremy’s (a wonderful emporium of deeply discounted designer goods). Some of the goods are damaged – case in point a pair of YSL Tribute heels with a broken strap that made the shoes unwearable. The sales guy admitted to me that even he didn’t know why they were on the sales floor. Anyway, I also found a pair of Celine patchwork jeans (circa Pre-Fall 2011?) that were originally over $1,000, and I snagged them for less than $150!

I must mention the origins of the skirt I’m wearing, since it NEVER appears on the blog. I’ve had it since high school. My sister and I were tired of our nearby mall (South Square) in Durham, and instead of going to Crabtree in Raleigh or Cary Town Center, we drove all the way to Greensboro! We assumed that because it was a bigger city the mall would be better, but we weren’t that impressed. But they did have a Guess? store, which we didn’t have. I splurged on this skirt, which cost $89 and was the most expensive thing I had for quite some time!

One last note: since buying those Tory Burch sneakers I have been wearing them non-stop. Seriously, I’ve been getting so lazy with my footwear. They’re the best.
