Feeling Ultra Down

Moncler Argentee £640

I think it was in the mountains of Cortina in Italy when I first saw the abundance of ultra light down jackets, there are, obviously, linked to ski wear and provide the perfect cover up against a bitter wind. Moncler as shown above is the biggest promoter of the down jacket, with celebrities parading their designs everywinter.. and not juct on the ski slopes. I think what is so appealing the effortlessly cool vibe they give off, while at the same time you’re stilll snuggly and warm without looking silly – that I think can me hard to achieve in fashion. Below are some lovely jackets I have found, inspired by the orginal Moncler style and what’s more are totally and utterly afforable. Yipee!

Above are two jackets from H&M’s collection. The burgandy is labelled as a down jacket, with the classic lustre and shape. It also comes in black and beige. The navy jacket caught my eye because although not a traditional down jacket it takes on the same form and shape but is slightly thicker and just looks so cosy! Which one do you prefer?

Uniqlo are, second to Moncler, pioneering the down jacket on the high street. Their jackets look of great quality and the styles are impeccable! I love the black collarless one best, I think it would be so versatile for a winter wardrobe, as well as for those rainy months during spring. As always with Uniqlo there are plently of colours to choose from!

Check out their 2013 Adertisment.
