Lil’ sis is 7 months.

seven months ago, Baby Girl was added to our family and we have been blessed by her every moment since!

as we face this week as our last before the surgery (a week from today), we celebrate how much growth and joy Hazel has accomplished in her short seven months.

she’s almost sitting up consistently by herself, smiling at anyone and everyone who will smile back, squishy as a sweet smelling baby ever was, and starting to coo and squeal at every chance. the other kids think it is so funny when she “answers” them.

**surgery update: last thursday we did the pre-op stuff at the hospital which included a sedated MRI and getting blood drawn. we also had a consultation with Dr. Myseros. two great praises happened while we were there:

1. she did great with the anesthesia and woke up almost right away–there was no nausea and everything was great.

2. Dr. Myseros, thankfully, went in while she was getting the MRI and saw in the first photos that the cortical dysplasia wasn’t showing up clearly and so he asked them to do it again. they did and he was able to clearly see and define the exact location on her brain. this will help greatly as he will use that MRI to sync up the computerized wand and, in surgery, be able to locate the exact spot on her brain. we were, obviously, very thankful that he took the initiative to be sure they had caught what he needed on the MRI, otherwise the whole thing would’ve been somewhat pointless.
