Charles Worthington Salon at Home Amplifying Volume Treatment

I’m always a bit dubious over products that claim to add volume whilst you wash your hair, and it’s only recently after trying a few new additions to my collection that I’ve started to change my approach. I’ve always felt that volume is something you add with products post-wash, but the Charles Worthington Salon at Home Amplifying Volume Treatment is a great example of a product that happily slots into your hair-washing routine whilst making a really big difference to the volume of your hair.
The Charles Worthington Salon at Home Amplifying Volume Treatment is a thickening treatment that you use after shampooing. It’s a thick gel that has a bit of a silicone feel to it and you work it into hair in the same way as you would a conditioner, however, if you’re fine haired then you’ll be used to applying conditioner to the lengths and ends, whereas this you need to apply all over the entire head including the roots. You then rub it in to the scalp for 30 seconds before rinsing it out. Surprisingly, hair feels soft as you’re rinsing it out which is unusual for volumising products; I always find hair feels a bit squeaky and almost tacky-to-touch during the rinsing-off process. The picture above may not look like much, but considering I have hair that lays extremely flat (I have fine hair but a lot of it, which makes adding any kind of volume a nightmare) even when I’ve made a lot of effort to style it, the above picture is when I left it completely alone post-wash; I let it air dry and didn’t add any product at all, yet it looks shiny, healthy and most of all it isn’t laying flat against my head as usual! I haven’t had a chance to try this whilst blow-drying my hair, but I’m confident it’ll be fab and I am so impressed with this volumiser. If you keep trying products to add volume but find few things work, I really recommend trying the Charles Worthington Salon at Home Amplifying Volume Treatment, especially as you can either use it every time you wash, or just for special occasions when your hair needs a bit of extra oomph. It’s currently on promotion for less than a tenner at Boots here – link – with the usual price being £14.99.
