Nanshy Flat Top Brush and Blending Eye Shadow Brush

I do love a good make-up brush and I’m always keen to try new brands. I’d never heard of Nanshy before so I jumped at the chance to try something from their line of affordable make-up brushes. I was sent two to try; the Flat Top Brush and the Blending Eye Shadow Brush. The Nanshy line is a relatively comprehensive line of brushes and brush sets that are very well priced considering how well made they are. It’s worth noting that their website is a total nightmare to navigate, so you might want to bypass it and head straight to Amazon to find out more about them.

The Flat Top Brush is available individually or as part of their foundation brush set. All the Nanshy foundation brushes are kabuki style and consequently I want them all! The Flat Top Brush is very soft and dense, making it an ideal multi-purpose brush for foundation application and buffing. As there’s quite a lot of bristles you can use this to apply foundation directly and buff it in, so it’s great if you’re in a hurry. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for something that’ll apply foundation smoothly and evenly rather than specifically as it’s a bit too bulky for working product into nooks and crannies. It’s £10.95 here – link.

The Blending Eye Shadow Brush is right up my street, as it’s very similar to the infamous Mac 217 in that it’s soft, fluffy and fanned out at the top, making it a great tool for not only blending and buffing eyeshadow, but also for buffing in concealer and also setting concealer with powder – the Mac 217 is essential for its many uses so anything similar is well worth trying. I’ve used the Nanshy Blending Eye Shadow Brush for all these purposes and I can happily report that it works really well for all, so it’s a great pick at just £5.91 here – link.

Both these brushes have proved a great introduction for me to the Nanshy range, so I’ll definitely be checking out more, especially their kabuki foundation brush set which looks to be a steal at less than £35 for five brushes here – link.
