Glossybox October 2014

The October 2014 Glossybox is beautifully presented in an Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art box that is quite possibly my favourite design to date, and will definitely be finding a beauty-related storage usage soon. Thankfully, the contents of Glossybox October 2014 is a great selection of products that I think most people will be happy with; all are relatively decent sized with a few full-sized goodies thrown in for good measure.

The Glossybox October 2014 contents are a good mix with products from all the main beauty elements included, such as a couple of skincare goodies, a nail polish and a mascara as well as a base product and a decent-sized perfume sample. As usual, here’s a look at the contents in order of my favourites:

I have a soft spot for Nuxe and I’m always, always happy to try new masks, so the inclusion of a decent sized (50ml) Nuxe Creme Fraiche 24hr Moisturising Mask is something I’m definitely looking forward to including in my next triple threat facial. This is a very well-received product and it works on both the face and under eyes, so count me in! The include sample is worth £19.50.

Next up is the second of the skincare products – having a bit of a skincare moment currently – which is the etre belle Liplift Peel. As a beauty blogger, there’s very little I don’t have many, many duplicates of in my collection, so a product like this – a lip exfoliator – excites me as it’s pampering, can slot in happily during a facial and I don’t have loads of other similar products. Included is a full-sized product worth £12.95.

Many will no doubt be excited by the inclusion of a full-sized Ciate Paint Pot. The shade I have is Talent Scout which is a deep yet vivid purple that my annoying camera has picked up as more of a navy blue. This is a fab autumnal shade for both fingers and toes, and the fact that it’s full-sized is great – worth £9.

The Rimmel BB Matte mini is a nice little addition that’ll give subscribers a chance to try this high street product before deciding whether to invest in the full-sized product. It’s a good size sample, with enough in there for a good few applications and the shade I got was Light. Full-sized this would cost £6.99.

If you’re going to include a perfume sample in a beauty box then here is how to do it; this sample of Yves Rocher Quelques Notes D’Amour is gorgeously presented in a very pretty, mini perfume sampler that adds enough glamour to stop you feeling like you’re being conned with a perfume sample. It’s a lovely perfume in a lovely bottle, so you can’t complain really. Full-sized this is £33.

Last but not least we have the So Susan Flutter Mascara which is last in my list, purely because I’m still a little bit ‘meh’ about new mascara launches, especially as I keep turning back to my awesome Tarte one. I will happily give this a go and if it blows my mind, you’ll be the first to know! This is full-sized and worth £14.95.

Stonking value in the October 2014 Glossybox with several full-sized products and some great samples, all housed in a beautiful box that will get reused, so a pretty impressive box all-round! For more info on Glossybox, head here – link.
