Birchbox November 2014

As I’m staying at my mum’s whilst I finish my surgery recovery, the pictures are a little bit different – normality will resume soon but I couldn’t want to share the contents of the November 2014 Birchbox! Last night I had a wonderful dinner with Birchbox to mark the arrival of the November box which is themed around being Cosy at Home – a perfect answer to the newly arrived Autumnal evenings. The November 2014 Birchbox is lovely, with a couple of beautiful products to get very excited about!

There are six products in the Birchbox November 2014 box including a lifestyle product of a chocolate bar. There’s a good mix of products designed to give you a bit of pampering as the evenings become colder and darker. There isn’t a make-up product which is a shame, but the full-sized OPI polish should ease that disappointment. As always, here’s a look at the contents in order of favourites:

I have to start with the Dr Jart Pore Refine Recover Primer which I am extremely excited about as I loved the BB Creams and I’m happy to try anything else from the range. This is a full-sized product that apparently performs a multitude of functions such as mattifying, treating, healing and concealing, so I will definitely be putting this through its paces soon so expect a full review. Included in the box is a full-sized product worth £15.95.

I’m currently sporting short red nails due to the Christmas red from Bourjois and I’m really digging the look. Therefore I happily welcome the inclusion of the Coco-Cola Red polish from OPI as not only am I big Coke fan (not a good thing, but there you go) but I also can see myself using this as I love red toes in the winter. This is also full-sized and worth £11.95.

As the stress of the last few weeks has caused skin chaos, I’ve been reaching for my Jane Iredale BB Cream which provides a seriously full yet natural coverage. Included in the November 2014 Birchbox is the Jane Iredale Purelash Lash Extender & Conditioner which apparently works as a primer for mascara whilst also providing lashes with a strengthening boost.

When I first cracked open the box last night, I thought the Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Hair Mask was actually a face mask – and regular readers will know how I feel about face masks so I was very excited. As the name suggest, it’s actually a mask for hair and two pots have been included. Full-sized this is £16.

At the table last night it was agreed that everyone loves a bit of Weleda, so the inclusion of the Weleda Lavender Relaxing Body Oil will no doubt be a general crowd-pleaser, especially to warm up cold limbs in the Autumn months. I’m not a huge fan of Lavender as a fragrance which is why this sits so low on the list, but as a soothing scent, you can’t beat it. Full-sized this is £14.95.

The bonus product of a Montezuma’s Mini Bar of chocolate is the perfect final product in what I think is a pretty fabulous box, don’t you? They’ve captured the cosy vibe perfectly with the contents and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in. If you’ve never tried a Birchbox before and like the look of this one, I have a fabulous promotional code for you so you can get all the above for a fiver!
