The Leaderboard

Given the number of emails I’ve received overnight about the purchasing whereabouts of my little bathroom leaderboard that I Instagram-ed yesterday, I thought I’d elaborate accordingly:

La Prairie Marine Biology Day Cream: La Prairie has the formula down – it makes so much sense to have everyday products that repair your skin at the same time, and yet not many brands do it. At least, not well. I hadn’t fully realised the power of such a Day Cream until I started using it late last year, after Chris King used some on my skin after our shoot with Paul and Natalie and my face felt awesome the next morning. It’s light, makes you look immediately fresher with a slight sheen, your skin absorbs it so easily, and SPF power is always a bonus.

Belmondo ‘THE RAIN’ and ‘AFTER THE RAIN‘: I’ve never used a non-foaming or non-cream cleanser save the odd desperate midday cleansing wipe. This ‘RAIN‘ is a cotton pad wipe and leave on affair, as is the aftermath toner. Both are super light and not at all drying. I’ve only just started using these, so I’ll keep you posted.

L:A BRUKET Salt Bath (Marigold, Orange, Geranium): I don’t often have the time luxury of sitting in a bath – after a particularly bad day yesterday, though, soaking in a tub of this marigold, orange and geranium dream basically amounted to a hug and 8 hours of sleep.

Aesop Balancing Gel and Hydrating Cream: Vitamin C is apparently where it’s at for your skin – Aesop products are of the more intense and concentrated variety, so these are great inflight or even Winter essentials, where dehydrating air-conditioning wreaks havoc on your face and palms, as I’ve sung before.

RODIN Olio Lusso Body Oil: When Sydney starts getting colder, I often find that my legs in particular struggle to stay soft on the same Summer moisturising regimen. RODIN’s body oil is hardly oily, per se, and dry skin just drinks it up.

Sodashi Botanical Shampoo and Conditioner: I’m usually wary of hair products that aren’t mainstream and commercial, but Sodashi does such incredible work with their skincare, that this had to be good – and hell, I’m right. I don’t think my scalp has ever been so healthy. That is also the weirdest sentence I’ve ever published.
