Lisa Brown/Sami Lee | Definitely Lovely

July Summary

It's now time for us to give our monthly summary. July has been a really great month for us. We've had sunshine and we both turned a year older. With turning older we had a little celebration night out during Lisa's birthday at a country western bar in Glasgow. Safe to say it was a little crazy with line dancing cowboys and an actual shootout with pellet guns. That one will be remembered for a while! Here's what you may have missed during the month of July.

Week 1: At the start of the month, Lisa tells you how to achieve beach perfect feet with her At Home Pedicure. Time to get the sandals out! In an effort to inject some colour into her routine, Sami chose the brightest neon orange shade in the form of China Glaze Japanese Koi for her NOTW. Now we're both big fans of tea so what could be more appropriate than a high tea inspired candle, aka the Flamingo Candles Blackcurrant Jam. Pretty much everyone in Sami's family agrees that it smells good enough to eat! Continuing with the beach ready theme, Lisa tried out the Dr Ceuticals Beach Perfect Body Firmer. Lets be honest, it won't turn you into a toned goddess overnight but anything to help is good in our books.

Week 2: An exciting new store opened up on Glasgow's Buchanan Street in the form of the Kiehls Glasgow Flagship Store. Kiehls took over from the previous Lush store and transformed the into a skincare haven. Definitely one to visit next time you're in town! When you have an other half, you'll find your products slowly start entering their home so Lisa has given us a sneak peek of her Shelf Away From Home. The gel effect nail polish obsession continues with Nails Inc Kensington Passage, a beautiful coral with a shiny gel like finish. This week Sami tried out the Concoction Haircare range to find out if making your own personalised shampoo is better than the alternative, is it worth it? Now we've been to a festival or two so Lisa gives her top tips in her So You're Going To a Festival.. post on the essentials you'll need to take with you, that includes us!

Week 3: In an effort to bring out the bright shades, Sami shares her Top 5 Summer Lipsticks. Think bright corals, deep pinks and some orange toned reds. During this week we were lucky enough to meet up with Emma Hardie to find out more about her new Amazing Face Age Support Range. We also stayed behind an extra 5 minutes to find out her top skincare tips! Now we're all for giving products second chances and Sami rediscovered the Models Own Hypergels in Red Lustre. First impressions aren't always everything! Do you ever have a product that's meant for something but you use it another way? That's the case for the Topshop Stippling Brush in Cobalt. Find out how Sami uses it in an alternative way.

Week 4: Now we love a good face oil so Sami wrote a post on her Overnight Oils to compare the three most talked about choices. You'll be sure to find one that suits your skin. A birthday calls for birthday nails so what could be more appropriate than Nails Inc Topping Lane, a cake inspired nail polish.

Week 5: With this month coming to an end and the sunshine slipping away, Sami shared her Beach Inspired Beauty products in an effort to bring the beach to you. Sea salt spray and beachy fragrances, what more could you want? As always we finish off the month with our favourites so it was Sami's turn to share her July Favourites.

Thanks for catching up on our July posts. We hope you've had a lovely month and make sure you stick around for August!
