Everyday Makeup: Summer Edition

Don't you just love those get ready with me videos on Youtube? It's always interesting to see what everyone uses in each step of their makeup routine. So today I thought I'd give it a go, blogger style. Walking you through everything I use on a typical Summers day.



Once moisturised, I like to get started with foundation in the form of NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc. Even in Summer I'm still the second palest shade in the range! It just gives such a lovely finish and feels comfortable on the skin, giving just enough coverage. Next I follow along with concealer to hide the redness from my blemishes and the bags under my eyes. For this I tend to stick to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer as it's perfect for both areas. To set this all in place, I pick up my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to keep the oilyness at bay. Nothing else compares to this powder for me.

When my base is done I move onto the eye area. I'm not a huge eyeshadow wearer (usually only on nights out) so I skip that step and head straight for the eyebrows. If I'm feeling lazy I tend to choose the HD Brows Kit in Foxy over my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown. It's just so quick to powder on rather than carefully filling them in with a pencil. For lashes I curl them with the Shu Uemura S Curlers and for an everyday look, my mascara tends to be Clinique Lash Power.

Before applying blusher I do a little bit of contouring with the NARS Laguna Bronzer in my NARS Blush Palette. Surprisingly, even though it seems very dark the result is very subtle! Then from the same palette my go to blush is NARS Deep Throat. I'd highly recommend this palette, I've used it almost every single day and barely made a dent in it.

Finally it's time to add some colour to the lips. Now this can vary but if I'm feeling indecisive, I usually go for Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Blushing Mauve, the perfect your lips but better shade. Though if I'm feeling some colour, it has to be the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Frambourjoise.
