The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Polish

When it comes to The Body Shop, I usually don't consider going to them for makeup. I've always known them for their body butters and skincare sets. However, you all know how much I love a good nail polish so when I heard they were bringing out a range of nail polish shades, I jumped at the chance to try them out. The range of 24 gorgeous shades will be heading our way into selected stores from the 9th of September so here's what you can expect.

For those who are cruelty free/vegan I'm happy to report that the range is completely vegan and hasn't been tested on animals, which in the nail polish world is something I imagine quite hard to find. It's free from formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin & camphor which are the 3 main ingredients to avoid. The brush size is a decent size, similar to Nails Inc brushes which I like and you get 6.8ml for £5. Now onto the shades!

Rosy Cheeks is a gorgeous pink shade with a glossy finish.

Mint Cream is a beautiful pastel green (Think Essie's Mint Candy Apple!)

Hemp Over Heals is an interesting olive green with a glossy finish, not usually my colour but I'm sure it will be perfect for Autumn!

One thing I'm happy to report is the fact that all three shades seem to apply exactly the same. The formula applies quite creamy, not too thick and evenly over the nails. If I had to compare it to another brand, I'd say the formula is somewhere between Avon and Essie nail polish. Drying time seems to be fairly quick so you're less likely to mess up your nails if you have things to do.

Overall I'm really impressed by the range. For the rest of the 24 shades, expect a majority of brights and a handful of nudes. They seemed to have covered the most common shades well so I'm hoping they come out with some dark vampy shades or more pastels in the future. Will you be giving them a go?
