Nails Inc The Hurlingham

It's been a while since I've had a Nails Inc polish on the blog. This week I thought I'd reach into my stash for a shade I've never worn before and decided to go for Nails Inc's The Hurlingham.

When it comes to red nail polish I thought there weren't many variations on the shade but The Hurlingham is quite different. It's basically what I would describe as a summertime red, with the sort of bright, orange tones running through it. The finish is somewhere in between glossy and matte, it's not overly glossy but it does sort of remind me of a less neon version of Models Own Hedonist.

When I apply it on the nails it applies really well, possibly a little too runny but it makes it easy to cover the entire nail in one stroke. Overall I found it a little on the sheer side so I would recommend about 3 coats, especially if you have any bumps or white marks as they will show up.

I found the polish lasted around 5 days before showing signs of chipping with 3 coats but with 2 coats it was much less. Especially impressive as I've recently started a new job so I would have expected them to be chipping much more quickly.

I think the shade is a really lovely alternative to the traditional red tones you get at this time of year, I'd really recommend this shade.
