Harrods x Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen is a designer that I've always truly admired. He was never one to try to follow trends or produce anything that would ever be coined predictable. With each season he worked on an interesting theme to create the most beautiful collections. Some would even consider his clothing to be art. With intricate detailing and couture fits, the extravagance he shared with the world is one that will never be forgotten. Years after his death, lead designer, Sarah Burton still continues the tradition of Alexander McQueen's imaginative brand. As I was perusing Harrods' website I excitedly happened upon the Alexander McQueen store. Even the fashion house's basic wear is brilliant and unique. Although these pieces are more practical than those that come down the runway each season, there's still a hint of what makes McQueen so special.

With all that said, I created a wishlist on the Harrods website and wanted to share my favorite Alexander McQueen pieces. They are all elegant, contemporary yet original. Even the black crop top has an interesting hem and beautiful details (look closely!).

1. Alexander McQueen Spine Lace Flared Dress - A feminine and figure flattering cut dress with an intricate, black and white print. The lack of color makes it interesting, but not too over the top.
2. Alexander McQueen Mini De Manta Clutch - With a unique shape, this isn't just a basic silver clutch. The metallic piece is the perfect accessory for a chic night out.
3. Alexander McQueen Sangallo Crop Top - Architectural interest is always apparent in McQueen's designs. Both the shape of this black crop and it's lovely embroidery bring elegance to a casual staple.
