The origin of parka is not provide but I have few information that could be useful for you.
Parka is similar to the anorak but the difference is that the first one is not waterproof as the second one.
There are different kind of parka that one that was created for the fisherman, this parka is much more length in comparison to that one that I wore in this look.
An other model of parka is that one created for the military air-force is much more structured and similar to the anorak.
