Runway Review: Whistles Spring 2015

London stalwart Whistles continued the pared down, laid back mood evident at London Fashion Week. Whilst the initial monochrome outfits were entirely wearable and quite simply chic, the collection came alive in its beachy second half.

Laser cut grid-like leather ensembles made way for a faded palm print used on basic separates and easy breezy outerwear. Raffia frays and broderie anglaise added to the coastal theme, whilst the silhouette was slouchy and relaxed. Leather goods in muted shades were also designed to resemble sun-baked wooden slats – notably, the classic Portland backpack and Rivington Pouch will now be available in the nude colour way.
