Foody Friday: Experimental Snacking

After having finally admitted to myself that I’m to0 poor to buy Larabars consistently or really at all (even at the sale price of $1 a piece), I set out to make something similar at home. I used the following:

  • soaked, raw almonds that I already had in the fridge
  • softened coconut cream concentrate
  • dried, mixed berries.
  • a bit of lemon juice filtered water (since mixing pasty things with an immersion blender can be a real bitch)

I wasn’t trying to recreate any particular flavor, but the finished product still managed to be pretty fly (despite its appearance—raw hamburger meat anyone?)
