WE are away for a few days and as I was packing some necessary comforts, I was reminded how warm our Duvets are... Here I was struggling on what QUILT to make for my day bed.. and although I had the pattern completely designed and I was ready to put it together....( which was my muse for my decor) mmmmmm why not make a QUILT DUVET...??? I already have all the materials for duvet making...as I established this company since 1994.
As my office is coming together nicely...what is really missing is some WARMTH....and as my office is in the basement in our home.. Not your typical basement....but certainly very comforting... it is quite cool sometimes, especially the winter months since our home is built on clay....it really holds the cold, even through the summer months...
Soooo here I am under a Sofa Duvet and relishing the warmth it brings, that is it...when I get home, I will be constructing a quilt top with a pocket so I can slip a custom sized duvet bleached and processed goose down ... YEP that is what I will do...
Before we left, I did manage to design these
fabulous RBD ( Riley Blake Designs) black and white gingham curtains, complete with self covered buttons.. It is a smaller print than my valence... and it just screams French Country...
And since we were so inspired by my office.. we decided to follow the theme into our water closet across from my office...
These are the only 2 photos I had on my laptop... but I think you get the picture... The strawberry lithograph was our inspiration for our decor here...I found this great shelf and hook piece, it was painted red.. so I repainted it and filled the photo blocks with Martha Stewart cover photos of different fruits... Compliments the room perfectly..
Ahhh I can hear David stirring, our day is planned with some village shopping and breakfast at our very favourite spot... must run...
We are recharging after a pretty eventful couple months!
soooooo toddles....I do believe my superpower will have something to do with....
Well you will see...
