Nashville and my oh my have things changed...

I have been known to be eclectic in my taste in music, but I have never really been a big fan of country music ......well until now...
But first let me share an observation oh how things have changed in only 20 years....
Years ago many of us had portable televisions with VHS ( tapes) we used to push into and voila...
We could detail our doctors ( well I did) and watch movies at night that we rented on a little screen tv...
I had one for years and it was even in colour....wink...

And then NETFLIX came into our lives - Canada was slow to get on board but now we can stream ( that term used to mean a water brook, or creek) now it means streamed through ICLOUD ( which is where the worlds seems to connect and share stuff) and as long as you have an iPad or LAPTOP you can view anything you like... of course you need an ISP ( internet supply provider ) with lots of bandwidth... ( i know all this new jargon that was only brought to life in the past few years)
I love my MAC BOOK AIR, I can take it anywhere.. As long as I am near a router or time machine...( I know it is ridiculous isn't it?) and all the while I was hand quilting the past couple weeks, I watched 2 seasons of NASHVILLE... yes I believe I watched 44 episodes...
And am I HOOKED....Hayden plays Juliette who could also be Taylor Swift, although many downplay that... and Connie plays Rayna who could be REBA but they also downplay that too...
And then there is this sweet SCARLETT played by an Australian singer.. Clare Bowen...she just melts my heart.... I have no idea who she could be...
and there is Deacon a love interest and Avery a love interest and Luke a love interest and Jeff and Duncan and a whole lot of characters who sing and can they sing....of course all COUNTRY....
I have even streamed many hits from the show like..
A life that is good How you learn to live alone Love Like Mine Black Roses Don't put dirt on my grave just yet... Nothing in this world will ever break my heart again

Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) is the established "Queen of Country" music. However, her latest album is not selling well and her tour is playing to half empty venues. Her record label suggests that she open for Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the young and sexy best selling singer of bubble gum country. However, Juliette, seeing Rayna as privileged, purposefully alienates her. Rayna, who dislikes Juliette's style of music, rejects a joint tour out of hand. The two women come into conflict as each tries to get guitarist Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten), Rayna's bandmate and former lover, to sign on to their tour. Rayna's life is further complicated when her estranged father, millionaire businessman Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe), convinces her husband, Teddy Conrad (Eric Close), to run for Mayor of Nashville.

I enjoyed it sooooo much I may watch it all over again while I work on some projects for the SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER blog hop and RUSH HOUR...
The Next SEASON begins in September....I am there... and I think I AM IN LOVE with NASHVILLE and their MUSIC...
