On The Edge

The mid season sales have slowly started, which is essentially a mini Christmas for the bargain hunter in me! Last week I came across this edgy yet feminine dress sitting perfectly on display with a beautiful 50% off sale sign in River Island. It was love at first sight. As a result an outfit post for you girls was a must as it's such an unusual print and quite multifunctional.

This grey mirrored floral print number is figure hugging but thankfully a breathable cotton fabric, so while spanx or some kind of secret Bridget Jones esque underwear might be required, it was extremely comfortable. You could move easily without being reminded that its clinging to your body.

The 3 quarter length sleeves were an added bonus as we are quickly approaching Winter. As the length is above the knee it makes this dress a perfect number to pair with PU or leather look leggings if you wanted to have extra coverage or give it more of a dressed down appeal.

To accessorize this dress I opted for an unusual pixy style Ear cuff from Diva which you can find in Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins stores. It has a variety of beautiful blue shades which is just enough glam to add to an already quite busy printed dress. For a bag this cobalt blue clutch was a perfect pop of colour in keeping with the whole edgy look. A biker jacket gives the perfect finishing touches, this is one of my favourites from Fearne Cottons collection as it's so warm.
