NOLAFW SS14: Dreamcar + Matthew Arthur + Noël Martin
Filled with bright colors, quirky prints, oversized metallic tulle bows, and a super awesome confetti finale, Dreamcar‘s show had me smiling the whole time!! This show made me want to be a Dreamcar girl in a Dreamcar world!
Matthew Arthur‘s show was all about cropped mesh, an array of prints, subtle touches of metallic, and pulling the color palette of the collection together with a unique detail of blue brows. How cute would those one shoulder overalls be on me with a crop top underneath? Yes, I would wear all of his clothes, even the items made for the men!
I was highly anticipating Noël Martin‘s show after getting to know a little more about her and her designs in a previous post. And now I can say, she sure does not disappoint! The overall (pun not originally intended) dark mood of the show was perfectly offset by the lightness of the color palette and flirty silhouettes. And can we just talk about the leather and fur pieces? Amazing!
