“Shopping” Market

(above photo from Currey & Co. showroom) With all the best intentions of giving you a thorough report on my recent trip to Dallas Market Center, I come to you today with a brief mustering of notes and images. I mean, how exactly does one summarize 50 million sq. feet of design trends and home products? Exactly! I rest my case. So, let me fill you in on a few important details and then I’ll let the images speak for themselves. Dallas Market Center, a wholesale trade marketplace located in Dallas, debuted a new initiative during this past Winter Home & Gift Market, Blogger Sneak Peek, in which they opened their doors to a handful of design bloggers for a crash-course guided tour of market. Again, imagine 50 million sq. feet in 2 days!! My poor, poor feet. I was incredibly honored to be invited as a member of the host committee and joined in the weekend’s festivities happily! We visited a small (in comparison) curation of showrooms that showcased home products from a wide range of categories including antiques, luxury lighting, and artisan accessories. Even for someone who has attended market before, I have to admit, it was a bit overwhelming. (...)
