Stokowski conducting Metamorphosen dovetails nicely with the All-Strauss NYP Tennstedt concert posted previously and the historic nature of the recording, being the US Radio Premiere, is a perfect match for MetroGnome. Additionally, the Gnome and I include the brief, but important commentary. "There is some doubt as to what he (Strauss) meant so we cabled our Berlin office to ask him," is priceless.
