Let’s say the fashion world is having an Egyptian revival with an invasion of the beetle. The sacred scarab that adorned the royal amulets of ancient people for protection and wisdom has officially hit mainstream retail and it’s an all out bug invasion. While most little girls run out of the room screaming when they set their sight upon a bug I have always had a fascination with the mysterious night crawlers and the symbolic mythology behind them making me amass quite a few animal accessories over the year’s. The Bug Trend started gathering momentum a season ago and has gone code red for this spring and it isn’t limited to just beetles but other types of insect motif’s such as the ladybug, spider, scorpion, grasshopper, crustaceans and any other creepy crawly you had think of. You’ll find the leggy little creatures on clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, home good’s such as pillow and comforters, and even on accessories for your mobile devices. I think the easiest way to wear this trend is with jewelry because it’s ageless and the bigger the statement piece the better.
