Lilypad Lacquer “True Blood”

Ibland är det lätt att ryckas med i andras pepp. Till exempel hetsen kring Lilypad Lacquer True Blood, ett holografiskt plommontonat lack som det slogs vilt om för något år sedan. Jag bara OKEJ JAG KÖPER DET OCKSÅ!! när jag hade tillfälle i somras, trots att det var mörkare systerlacket Immortal Soul som egentligen lockade mest. Risken var ju fånigt stor att True Blood skulle kännas för lila och inte alls vara min grej. Det tog ett halvår för mig att bära det på naglarna och nu när jag väl gjort det så är jag SÅÅÅ tacksam att jag föll för grupptrycket! Nyansen är mörkt och mättat rödbetsfärgad (Schrute-style) och inte goth-lila, helt enligt min smak. Två lager lack gav perfekt täckning och det torkade normalsnabbt.

Sometimes it’s easy to get stuck in a hype. For example Lilypad Lacquer True Blood, a holographic plum polish that people fought like crazy for about a year ago. I was like OKAY I’M GETTING IT TOO!!! when I had the chance this summer, even though the darker sister polish Immortal Soul that gave me the real cravings. There was a great chance that True Blood would be far too purple and not my thing. It took me half a year to wear it on my nails but now that I’ve done it I’m SOOO happy that I went against my own gut feeling! The shade is a dark and saturated beet red (Schrute style) and not goth purple, right up my alley. Two coats gave me perfect opacity and it dried at a normal pace.

My bottle is from Llarowe where they’re out of it right now, but I suppose it’ll be back next Lilypad restock!
