Recent Beauty Buys

Today is a quick show and tell, there’s a few re-purchases and couple new products which caught my eye and ended up in my virtual shopping basket. After Christmas I didn’t brave the shops, I’d much rather shop online and wait for the online sales, I made three purchases and here’s the goods!

First up I re-purchased the ever popular BIODERMA this is the large 500ml size and well worth every penny, I recently had a very unsightly blood shot eye and therefore refrained from wearing eye makeup, yep that’s right no mascara for a whole week! It was the longest week of my life, mascara is one of my desert island products and I look ill without it on same goes for concealer. Anyway sorry for the ramble but what I’m trying to say is BIODERMA is great for sensitive peeps and removes ALL makeup. Following in the skincare route the next item purchased was Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I have tried and loved this product and knew I had to snap up another bottle. I went with the 30ml because of it’s cute travel size exterior, it’s great for all skin types and now I’ve been using this again I can’t imagine why I didn’t run to the lap top and order another bottle. This particular bottle contains the same formulation except it’s bottled in this a limited edition design by L’Wren Scott.

As you can spy I re-purchased the Moringa Cleansing Balm, when I don’t use this boy do I notice the difference in my skin, so when I saw it on offer I snapped it up. Unfortunately the offer has closed now, having said that I would’ve paid full price purely because it as become a strong staple in my skincare routine. The final two products are both new one has been on my wish list for a while no and that’s the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. As you can see from the photo it’s not a moist wet lip balm as funny as that sounds but it’s more like a thick matte balm. Totally different from any lip lam formulation I’ve known and tried, the smell is divine and I’ve not reached for another lip balm since!

The last product wasn’t necessarily on my wish list, I have been contemplating purchasing the Bobbi Brown corrective concealer after reading so many rave reviews on various blogs. However after browsing the Cult Beauty website I saw the Face Stockholm Corrective Concealer aimed at blue tones. My dark circles are blue/purple tinged so the blue neutraliser helps take the blue away allowing me to use a brightening concealer over the top. I’ve used this for a good 2 weeks and I definitely notice a difference. So glad I spotted this and better still I waited to buy it after Christmas and it went in the sale half price, sadly though Cultbeauty seems to have stopped stocking it which is a tad annoying! So maybe I will have to try the Bobbi Brown the one after all…

Where to purchase and costs?

BIODERMA £14.50/500ml and Caudalie Beauty Elixir £10.35/30ml both from Escentual.com

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm £34.00/100ml and Nuxe Lip Balm £9.50 both from feelunique.com
