Hero Product : Weleda Skin Food

Loved by makeup artists and the stars, and little old me of course! Weleda is one of my favourite brands, with nature close to their hearts this is very evident within their products. Weleda Skin Food is definitely a hero product, this is one of the oldest products from the Weleda brand, the original formulation since 1926. A super rich cream similar to an ointment, it does have a slight greasy finish but this doesn’t last long on the skin, hence the name Skin Food. Designed to be used for all over the body especially those drier areas which tend to be the knees, ankles, elbows and feet. I know this can be used over the face if needed, however if you suffer from congested oily skin I wouldn’t recommend for facial use as you may find it slightly heavy. If on the other hand your skin is very dry and flaky this would be perfect, the best method of application for facial use is the simple ‘patting’ motion. I always use this very skilled simple application method when applying rich creams.

Skin Food has a refreshing citrus scent making it a great pick me up when travelling, I love using this all year round and for me that’s why it’s my hero product. Packed full of natural goodness, organic sunflower seed oil, extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula, rosemary and sweet orange.
