Crochet: Floral Fancy Coat Hanger

Following another great response from Instagram I thought it would be nice to share how I hooked up my Coat Hanger! I found the pattern from a lovely crochet blog called Annoo’s Crochet World. Of course each hanger may vary in size and shape so just bear this in mind when you’re happy hooking away. Stop and check is the best advice I can give you, I did have to alter the pattern ever so slightly for it fit my coat hanger.

It works up really quickly once you get going…

I found the closing up part a little fiddly, but after a few stitches I soon got through it. It does look a little messy once you’ve slip stitched the cover closed, but it won’t be noticeable once you add your edging. Now onto the ‘pretty’ parts, I decided to attempt some cute cherries for this hanger and wanted to keep the focus on the cherries so kept the edging simple but went with a contrasting mustard colour and simply added two rows of double crochet.

What do you think of my Fancy Crochet Hangers?

Will you be giving it a go?
