Summer Series #1 | Body Lotions

OK I’m kicking the first part of my Summer series off with Body Lotions, I rely on lotions all year round but through the summer I enjoy using fresh floral scented lotions and potions.

Korres Bergamot Pear Bodymilk 100ml/£10.00 is sensational, a fresh fruity fragrance perfect to use in the morning after a shower or bath. Bergamot blossom and sweet pear are the two main fragrances. The formulation is a rich cream not thin like a milk, it’s non-greasy and very hydrating thanks to the almond oil, active aloe and shea butter. It contains 92.3% natural ingredients, suitable for vegetarians and vegans and no nasty animal testing. I love the Korres body range especially their shower gels.

Elemental Herbology Watermelon & Cucumber Body Moisturiser 240ml/£21.00 firstly I want to draw your attention to the packaging, how cool is the bottle?! I know watermelon and cucumber sound like a funny duo but it works. Organic aloe vera and organic cucumber juice extract soothe and cool the skin, the smell is fresh and clean. The cooling sensation makes this lotion perfect for the summer months and helps prolong tans longer. The formulation is light and absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy residue.

I just luuuurve this scent by Roger & Gallet, they produce the most exquisite fragrances, I haven’t come across a scent I haven’t liked yet. Fleur d’Osmanthus is a floral fruity delight, mandarin, grapefruit and benzoin essential oils create a fresh happy scent. This is one of those scents where you can’t help but keep smelling yourself (*sniffs arm*). The texture is creamy and sinks into the skin with ease, it leaves a lovely glow on the skin which radiants any tan. Formulated with apricot milk and sweet almond oil, a body lotion to add to anyones stash, there’s also a foaming shower honey and matching fragrance!

So there’s no surprise I’m featuring another Roger & Gallet body product, this is the Fleur de Figuier 200ml/£13.00. Think figs and more figs! If you’re a fig lover you NEED this in your life, the scent is truly amazing, fig pulp works to soften and improve the skins suppleness. Glyercine and olive oil offer lasting hydration perfect for skin that’s been on the beach all day. There’s also a matching fragrance and body wash available, perfect if you like layering. The packaging is slim and easy to store and looks good, feast your eyes on the scrummy Lait Sorbet Lotions, I want them all- purely for the packaging.

Dr. Ceuticals Leg Tone & Shimmer 200ml/£16.99 does what it says, I didn’t pick this lotion for the scent but for the subtle shimmer and slimming benefits. I do have some wobbly bits that need a little attention and whilst I’m not under any illusion this will get rid of them, I am hoping this will at least help and prevent further wobbliness occurring. This looks lovely over the top of a tan or self-tan for that matter, the soft shimmer highlights the good parts, great for the legs and arms.

Have you tried any of the body lotions? I am leaving it here people, I smell…interesting but GOOD!
