Skincare Saviours #1 | Origins Dr.Weil’s Mega-Mushroom

My skin type is combination with a tendency to lean towards dehydration but very rarely do I suffer from redness or sensitivity, but that all changed over the weekend. I don’t know what product did it but oh my, it did not agree with my skin. I think the culprit may be a skincare product but I can’t be 100% sure, I noticed my skin looking red and feeling extremely bumpy when I touched my chin. After examining my skin in the mirror a second later I soon realised I must have had an allergic reaction.

I tried my best to take a photo, I know it’s not a pleasant photo and please excuse my caterpillar eyebrows and dark circles. My skin had loads of small little spots/pimples, the main areas were all over my nose and chin area. After cleansing with the Emma Hardie Moringa Balm I immediately reached for the Origins Dr.Weils Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief which has a peculiar scent, but that didn’t matter all I wanted was the redness to go down and those pesky little bumps to go! The lotion is oil-free and lightweight, it instantly hydrates the skin soothing it and calming it down. It contains Narcissus lily bulbs which help protect skin from any future damage. I applied this morning and night for 3 days and thankfully my skin has calmed right down, the redness disappeared and the bumps still stayed, they’ve now started to turn to dry patches. Has anyone else experienced this kind of reaction to a product?

I can’t recommend the Mega-Mushroom enough, especially if you suffer from redness or sensitivity. There’s also another Dr.Weil range called Mega-Bright aimed towards skins with discolouration, I have suffered from dark circles for years and have tried lots of eye creams and concealers but non have really made a difference. I just saw that Origins have released a new eye cream Dr.Weil Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer, I wonder if that would help with the blueness? Has anyone tried this?

Have you tried the Dr.Weil’s Mega-Mushroom collection?
