Lush Haul

Last weekend I decided it was time to pop back into my local Lush store and stock up on some gorgeous goodies. With my 4 yr old accompanying me we both felt like children in a sweetie shop! With a bagful of treats we both left the store happy and excited. The staff in the Plymouth Lush store are ALWAYS friendly and charming, their enthusiasm and love for the brand is infectious! I think I want in a job in there come to think of it ha ha!

*Love the neon green paper bags*

SO what did I pick up? Well I just want to add we were gutted we missed out on the sparkly pumpkins but we did come away with some new Lush items as well as some favourites.

OK just because I want to keep it real, this is NOT what you want to do! Drop the sparkler on the floor, PHOOF a yellow explosion. Dyson at the ready! ZOOOOOOMMMMMM.

Right so this is half of the Sparkler, I can confidently say this smells amazing. I’d recommend you refrain from dropping it on your floor, it’s probably best to enjoy in the bath tub. Mind you my carpet smells good. The Sparkler spins around your bath turning it into a golden sea of shimmer. The smell is addictive, I can’t get enough of the rose oil, Sicilian lemon oil and Egyptian geranium Oil. Did I mention Popping Candy? Oh yes!

Next up is part of their permanent line and that is the yummy looking Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon. This looks good enough to eat, probably because it resembles a macaroon and who’s not partial to a macaroon or two? This is basically a ‘hug’ in a bath thanks to moisturising coconut oil and shea butter. I like the fact you can get two baths out of this, just spilt the bubbleroon in half. Using one half to crumble into running water to create oodles of bubbles. Set the other half aside for another bath time treat. I love the grapefruit element, soothing and uplifting at the same time great for when you’re feeling a little dull.

Now this particular bath bomb reminds me so much of my crazy energetic children. Lord Of Misrule is a cheeky bath bomb that keeps on going. It’s not what it seems given it’s green outer layer, once submerged this green ball turns your bath into chaos! I tweeted a photo last night if you fancy seeing what’s inside this cheeky chap! I have to say the scent is amazing and given I have yet another ear infection the herbal blend of patchouli and pepper oil was very pleasing. Wishing I picked up another now!

Another product from Lush’s permanent line is Ceridwen’s Cauldron, great for dry sensitive skin. This was sold to me so quickly, I just know it’s going to be one of those staple bath time treats. A really cool bath melt that doubles up as a body exfoliator. You drop the whole thing into the bath, muslin cloth included and let the product melt away and cling to your skin. You’re then left with the muslin cloth filled with whole oats perfect for a little body exfoliation. The smell is another favourite blend of mine, frankincense, rose and sandalwood.

Finally the last two items that came home with us was Butterbear a cute cheerful bear packed full of fair trade organic cocoa butter, ylang ylang oil and cocoa powder. Both my children love Lush and this friendly bear is perfect for a bath time treat. If your child has sensitive skin of course be careful and consult with the Lush team.

Last up is the Wizard Bubble Bar, his main aim apart from making you smile is to cast your stress away. I’m now thinking I should’ve stocked up on him. He contains fennel, tangerine oil, ylang ylang and juniper berry essential oils. What an amazing combination of scents. You crumble him up under running water until he’s turned into a huge mass of bubbles!

As you can see I’m all Lush’d up now, I’m really keen to pop back and try the Christmas collection!

Any recommendations?
