It's the space activation everyone's been whispering about - desolate no more, the old Myer building in Freo has been converted into a hub of creative activity. Now MYRE, the department store has become part studio space for artists and designers, part retail ground for local collectives and peddlers of interesting wares thanks to the clever people at Spacemarket and the City of Fremantle. Well worth the trip over the other side of town (especially while Jarrad Seng's spectacular exhibition of aerial photographs from Iceland is on display!), I'm excited to watch this grow.
