Winter Velvet

I love wearing velvet pieces in the winter time. Velvet has such an inviting plush texture that it is the perfect material for cold weather. While velvet at times can feel old fashioned, it is getting a modern revival when introduced in boyfriend blazers, stream lined trousers, and mini party dresses. More contoured than a knit and warmer than silk, velvet's lush quality makes it very on trend for this holiday season.
There are many ways to wear velvet, but my favorite is to mix and match it with other fabrics. For instance, wear sleek velvet pants with a silk blazer. Also, velvet can be fun as an accessory. Whether a velvet clutch, pumps, or collared necklace - a touch of velvet definitely can make your outfit stand out from the crowd.
Below are some of my favorite velvet pieces for this winter and holiday season. Hope you enjoy my choices!
