A First For Me

i've said it once (okay, many times) and i'll say it again: i'm a simple jewelry kind of gal. i love the look of a delicate gold necklace with a simple tee and jeans, or to layer a simple necklace with a pendant or statement necklace. it adds an extra layer of interest to an outfit without getting too fussy or overly-accessorized.
when i opened up the little package in my mailbox that included this engraved necklace, i was so excited to wear it. i've never had a piece of engraved/customized jewelry, so this was a first for me! i love that it has Mike's and my first initial - it's like i'm carrying him with me wherever i go. from a distance, it looks like a solid bar necklace. it isn't until you get closer that you can see the engraving detail, so there's a little bit of a surprise to it!

i've already worn my necklace on various occasions and don't intend to stop anytime soon.
