Stamp Review Crew: Gorgeous Grunge Edition
It's Blog Hop time for the
Stamp Review Crew! We are featuring the stamp set,
Gorgeous Grunge - definitely a favorite of mine! It can be used in so many different ways. And just to review (no pun intended). The
Stamp Review Crew has a blog hop on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. I
t officially begins on Monday but we post on the Sunday night prior just to make sure all the links are working. The entire Crew highlights one particular stamp set. It is amazing, and inspiring to see the creative ways one stamp set can be used.
If you arrived from
Dawn Tidd's blog, you are where you should be. If this is your first stop, that is ok because you can go full circle by following the links. So let's get hopping'!
I created 2 cards for the hop. The first card uses all
Gorgeous Grunge images and a sentiment. I went with a feminine look using feminine colors and embellishments.
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Lots of Thanks
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride
Ink: Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride
Other: Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Very Vintage Designer Buttons,
My next card is a clean and simple style.
The bird and sentiment are not from the
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set but as you can see, this versatile set can be combined with another stamp to create a backdrop - in this case water. To soften the edges of the "water" I added some water downed Smoky Gray ink at the base of the reeds and beyond. Also, you can't really see them (grr to poor lighting), but I added rhinestones here and there on the "water" for some sparkle.
One of my favorite uses for
Gorgeous Grunge is using the image with the smallest splatters to add visual interest on any card. Too much white space? Gorgeous Grunge to the rescue!
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Simply Sketched
Card Stock: Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate, Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral
Other: Basic Rhinestones, water color brush
And now on to the next stop -
Kelly Willard Bray's blog. Enjoy!
And thanks for stopping by!
