What did we do this week?
This week was a pretty quiet one for us. Sam went with some friends to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm.

Week 4

History: Medieval History: The Barbarian Migrations, pt 1
We are reading Favorite Norse Myths. We have also read The Gods of the Teutons, Nibelungs and Alaric the Visigoth from Famous Men of the Middle Ages (Heritage History.) They completed notebook pages on the Visigoths.


World Geography and Culture (World Food Cafe): Mali, West Africa


For our country study of Mali, we made West African Beans and Okra and Sweet Potatoes in a Cayenne, Ginger and Peanut Sauce.

United States Geography: Squished Penny Geography Album: Hawaii, part 2: Oʻahu

We finished up our study of Hawaii by taking another virtual trip and completed a page in our Squished Penny Geography Album.

Co-op: Art (Drawing) and Leadership/Team-building


We made One-Point Perspective drawings (using this tutorial from Hodgepodge) in Art class...
In Team-building, they had to decide as a group 12 things you would take with you off the plane if you crashed near a deserted island. They also did trust-building activities, like the one in the photograph above.
