Fred Huening: Drei

Drei by Fred Huening Intense honesty at the relationship between a man and a woman through the years and the mystery and wonder of their child - that are the themes that usually leaves between two, hidden and guarded from curious eyes. But German photographer Fred Huening shares with public his very personal images, poems and texts that all together create a poignant family narrative that touches on universal themes: life and death, beauty and decay, beginnings and endings. Since graduating from Ostkreuz School for Photography in 2007, he has published a trilogy of photobooks entitled Einer, Zwei and Drei, and in 2013, released a book that compiles all three editions into one. After Einer book published in 2010, Fred continues to document his life for book Zwei, that is a love story and a book about motherhood, motherly love and the mystery of childhood named Drei. This three-part series is a reflection of the cyclical nature of our experience, as well as the shifts and blessings that we pass through in various phases in our lives.
