Nina Donis: Autumn/Winter 2014/2015

Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 by Nina DonisThe Russian fashion duo Nina Donis have been pushing the boundaries of conceptual design ever since the launch of the brand 14 years ago. Every season the designers fuse styles and themes they draw inspiration from, and their 2014/15 Autumn/Winter Collection is an example of a particularly successful fusion. The duo’s minimalistic and conceptual approach produced a set of intriguing pieces inspired by the diverse motives and personalities, such as 1940s-50s sportswear, Joan Miro or Cruella de Vil. The mood board also includes old photographs of polar explorers and the undoubtedly cute pictures of alpacas. Again, Nina Donis proved that they have a unique vision of the traditional and classic clothing, mixing it up with twentieth century icons and updating it for a contemporary consumer.
