Make that studio: Subgeometry

Subgeometry by Make that studio Inspired by the treasures hidden deep in the sea abyss, Sugeometry is a publication that sheds light on the unlikely combination of the sea floor and design. Make that studio was found at the end of 2013 by an Italian duo Dea Sgarbossa and Nicola Russo. With a passion for visual arts and architecture, they started the studio to continue their personal research between the Mediterranean area and South-East Asia. Their wide range of activities includes digital and printed graphic design and photography. In Subgeometry, the designers have analysed the geometry of the remote ecosystem of the sea floor in order to create patterns suitable for architectural design. The main aim of this project is to follow raw geometries, such as those hidden in nature, and give an organic imput to the architectural world. „The beauty and complexity of the underwater scenery is very wide and the connection between the organic and the artificial world became immediately evident as we started diving,” the designers explain.
