The Mom Baker: Birthday Party Snacks

We’ve all heard it—the endless “Mom I’m hungry” is constantly ringing in our ears. Usually, I’m never one to jump in the kitchen to start getting crafty. However, when it comes to children’s birthday parties, I can’t help but find myself looking for the latest and most unique way to serve food.

Creating deserts, little snacks, or the overall meal can be an exciting time to create something memorable and creative at children’s birthday parties. You’ll have everyone remembering just how much time and effort you have put in the baking and preparing, resulting in everyone being in awe of the pure magic you’ve created.

After getting the party supplies that you need for the party to help serve these delicious samples, I have a couple of simple and unique ways of presenting your delicious food. These will leave you obsessed and only wanting to create more.

Individual Snacks

Creating simple little individual snacks can be easy for everyone to have, and can create that easy special touch. A great example could be creating individual serving chip and dip cups! As easy as using small Dixie cups, create a 7 layer dips, including sour cream, salsa, cheese, guacamole, beans, and black olives. Add a couple of chips in the cup itself (although you might want to just have a whole bowl of chips out as well) and everyone will be happy!

Cupcake Dessert

Instead of doing the old fashion birthday cake, why not let everyone have their cupcake and eat it too? You can easily get plastic “champagne” glasses from the dollar store to create this little masterpiece. Fill the bottom of the glass with the candy of your choice, and place the cupcakes on top! This is such a cute and easy way for each person to get their desert at the party.

Creating deserts and snacks for parties can be a hassle, but these simple food samples will mean smooth sailing for your party! Everyone will leave feeling happy and full—meaning a job well done on your end. Now, enjoy that cupcake!
