{Buxom} Hold the Line Waterproof Eyeliner

When I got back home from my mini vacation (photos here), a package from Buxom was waiting at my doorstep. I love getting surprise packages, especially when they’re filled with beauty goodies!
I ripped open the package and found a couple of bronzers, a luminizer, and Buxom’s new collection of “Hold The Line Waterproof Eyeliner.” I immediately fell in love with the eyeliner colors and couldn’t wait to try them out. I’ll post swatches of the bronzers and the luminizer on Instagram, but this post is dedicated to the Hold The Line Waterproof Eyeliners.

The eyeliners are super creamy and the colors are gor~geous.
Mattes - Here’s My Number (dark brown) and Call Me (black) both have great color payoff. No tugging. Glides on smooth and once they’re set, they’re there to stay. Ring My Bell (green) glides on easily, but is my least favorite among the mattes. It just doesn’t go well with my yellow skin and brown eyes. But I think that’s just my personal preference.
Glitters - Come Over (bronze), I’ll Be Waiting (gunmetal), and Pick Me Up (blue) all have a beautiful glittery finish. These three are by far my favorites. Even though they’re glittery, they 1) glide on easily 2) are buildable 3) and have almost no glitter fallout. Also, the intensity and buildability of each shade makes them very wearable!
Metallics – Knock Twice (taupe) is a pretty color but on the lighter side. This is a great color to use on the lower lids. Doors Unlocked (purple) was a bit disappointing. My least favorite color within the collection. It didn’t have a full and even application like the other shades.
Overall: I really like these eyeliners! They glide on smooth, they’re super pigmented, and once they set… they don’t smudge! These liners are very creamy and have a ton of color payoff. I recommend you start with a light hand and build on the color.
You’ll definitely need a waterproof makeup remover to remove these. My favorites are I’ll Be Waiting (glittery gunmetal) and Pick Me Up (glittery blue). Both are super glittery and so much fun. The best part is that the glittery eyeliners add a bit of sparkle without going over the top. A subtle and fun way to add a twinkle to your eye. If you’re interested, click here to see availability.
