{Koh Gen Do} Cleansing Spa Water vs. 7 Eye Liners

Hello Lovelies,

A few days ago, I shared my Remover Challenge Post (Part 1). The challenge was set up to see how Benefit’s NEW They’re Real Remover performed in removing 7 popular eye liners, including Benefit’s NEW They’re Real Push Up Liner.

Today is Part 2 of the remover challenge! I’ll put my current favorite eye makeup remover (Koh Gen Do’s Spa Water) against the same 7 eye liners. Let’s see how it performs against the liners and how it compares to Benefit’s remover!

Koh Gen Do| Spa Water | Available here for $39

In the photo below, the bottom half of my arm shows how Koh Gen Do’s Spa Water performed. I simply soaked a cotton pad with Koh Gen Do’s Spa Water and held it to the swatches for a few seconds before wiping. Koh Gen Do’s Spa Water didn’t remove all of the liners… but it still a bit better overall compared o Benefit’s remover. No grease or cream to further wipe off.

I love Spa Water because it feels like water, wipes easily, and leaves no gel or cream residue. I have super sensitive eyes so I’m happy to inform you that Spa Water never irritates them. No stinging!

In terms of the liners, the liners most difficult to remove for both liners included: Benefit: They’re Real! Push Up Liner, Too Faced: 3 Way, Stila: Stay All Day, Eyeko: Skinny Mini.

Urban Decay‘s pencil, MAC and Bobbi Brown‘s pot gel liners removed easily with both removers.

Overall Thoughts:

While I think Benefit’s remover works well, I will stick to my Koh Gen Do’s Spa Water. Spa Water is great for my sensitive eyes, leaves no residue, and works GREAT! The only downfall is the price. At $39 a bottle, it’s not cheap… but in my opinion, it’s worth it if you have sensitive eyes and want a super effective remover for even waterproof mascara.

Hope this review was helpful! Please let me know the remover you’re loving in the comments below.

xoxo,
Mindy
