Hello Lovelies!~
I recently picked up Smashbox’s Full Exposure Eyeshadow Palette and omg! I’m in love. Keep reading to see all the reasons why I love this palette!
“This versatile palette includes 14 must-have neutral shades—from nudes to blacks—in long-wearing shimmers and velvety smooth mattes. The clearly organized palette—shimmers on top and mattes on the bottom—makes them easy to work with, and the kit also includes a breakthrough eye shape chart to achieve your most gorgeous look, along with a dual-ended brush to use with both formulas, and a bonus Full Exposure Mascara sample.” Available at Sephora for $49
What’s Included:
The palette includes 7 shimmers, 7 mattes, a double ended brush, and a deluxe sample size of the Full Exposure Mascara. I haven’t tried the mascara yet so let me know in the comments below if it’s good! The Palette also comes with a How To Use Guide for different eye shapes which I honestly thought wasn’t helpful. The step by step portion is printed in black and white, so not very helpful at all.
Packaging:
The shadows are packaged in a sturdy palette with a big mirror which covers most of the lid of the palette. The palette has a magnetic close and the shades are nicely organized. All the shimmers are on the top row and all the mattes are on the bottom row. I love that you get a full range of neutrals ranging from subtle nudes to a true black.
Shades (from left to right):
Here’s a closer look:
Shimmers: With 7 shimmer shades, there’s lot of glitz and glam to play with. Love S3 and S4 as a highlighter. S1 and S2 are beautiful warm brown tones which I think will work with any skintones. S5 is referred to as a Golden Wheat… but I think it looks more taupe. Either way, it’s one of my favorite colors from the palette. S6 is a gray/slate shade and of course you have S7 which is deep gray shade with tons of sparkle. Prettyyyyy.
Mattes: A total of 7 mattes allows a ton of options to create natural daytime looks. M2, M3, and M5 are good contour and transition shades. M4 is a beautiful highlighter. Then you have M1, M6, and M7 which are great for adding a bit of drama.
Swatches: Gorgeous!!! The shadows are super soft and provide good pigment payoff. Click on the swatch photo below to get an even closer look.
Final Thoughts: Do I recommend this palette?! YES! I love it! It offers a great range of subtle nudes to true blacks. I love that there’s an equal number of shimmers and mattes too. The matte neutral shades makes it an easy everyday palette, and you have the shimmers to get playful and dramatic for an evening look. Now, if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering…
