A couple of days ago my friend Vicky arrived from Argentina and brought me the cutest presents (as usual). One the things she brought was a poetry book written by Mariana Roca. On the first page she wrote “Sina: espero que lo disfrutes. Un cariño desde Buenos Aires, Marian” (“I hope you enjoy it, love from Buenos Aires, Marian”

The book is filled with amazing poetry by Mariana and illustrations by Guiselt Thaiz and Lucas Welsh.
Vicky told me Mariana gave it to her because she wanted me to have it. The curious thing is I haven’t met Mariana in person, but there is no need to, because I already feel like I know her through her incredible poetry.
