ARMY STRONG

Army Authentic Apparel jacket and sweater, Tom Ford sunglasses, Yohji Yamamoto boots (sold out, but similar here), Sammydress trousers

To me, the definition of inner strength is finding, personifying and holding onto confidence. Nothing brings that out of me more than a uniform that feels like a second layer of skin.

I was able to find the makings of a uniform from the official Army collection designed and produced by the Authentic Apparel Group. Initially the collection caught me off-guard; the clothes are surprisingly functional yet street-style ready. While the collection stays true to its military roots with Thinsulate lining and Kevlar stitching, the fit is appropriately modernized and form-fitting even on slim guys like me. I felt like a true street-style soldier when I wore this ensemble for an outing around the grittier areas of Downtown LA's Arts District. I think it's safe to say that I found my sartorial strength to be all that I can be.
