Shine Bright Like a Diamond
She is much, much more than a red dot. She is an infinite heaven. She is Yayoi Kusama.
Recognized most recently in the fashion world from her collaboration with Louis Vuitton, Yayoi Kusama is now presenting her latest exhibition “I Who Have Arrived in Heaven” at the David Zwirner Gallery in Chelsea, New York through December 21, 2013.
The exhibition features twenty-seven large-scale paintings and includes mirrored infinity rooms entitled “Infinite Heaven” and “Love is Calling” made especially for this exhibition. Also exhibited is the artist’s video installation, entitled Manhattan Suicide Addict, that draws its title from her first semi-autobiographical novel published in 1978.
This is definitely not one to miss.
