First up, da best lemonade, ever…

Wow Wow Lemonade

Wow Wow Lemonade makes ono hand pressed lemonade, puts it in a mason jar and serves it up from a hip hut outside Hawaiian Island Surf & Sport (corner of Dairy Road and Hana Highway). They favor local ingredients and have an extensive menu of refreshing liquid concoctions. Lilikoi, ginger, coconut water, limeade, guava…yum. The only thing you won’t like is how freaking hard it is to choose. I also couldn’t fit the mason jar in my CRV beverage holder but it was a small price to pay because that sucker lasted me all day.

Cafe Carmen

One day I texted a fellow Maui SMUGer, Erik Blair, and asked for a good place to write and get a good meal. He turned me on to Cafe Carmen at the Tech Park. Aiii, da coffee is so good, it’s heaven in a giant cup. Dad and I like to go out for father daughter brekkie on the occasional Sunday and Carmen is one of our new favorite spots. I’m addicted to the salted caramel latte (pictured) and dad prefers his American style (made with Maui Coffee Roasters beans). The interior is also fantastic, very Brooklyn meets Maui, with a ton of great ideas for upcycling and DIY art play.
