While I have never considered my own personal style to be particularly bohemian or Californian, simply living where I live warrants a few outfits here or there dedicated to the Sunshine State and all that it entails. If that means fringe and festival, so be it! This is definitely what I mean when I say that I am heavily influenced and inspired by my environment and the certain vibe that each city has. In fact, I think that wearing this outfit in any other big city, be it Shanghai or New York or Paris, would simply make me look out-of-place. At the same time, I would look just as lost in a very put-together, tailored, all-black look (too bad that's what I like) in the suburbia of Southern California.
