Cruising on the Han River (with New Korean Hair!)

Another favorite part of my Korean journey has to be getting on this amazing ship to have dinner as we cruise around the Han River. Not only is it breathtakingly gorgeous with delicious food that I successfully downed in seconds, it was also the setting for one of the scenes in the Kdrama You Who Came From The Star! I found out about this little tidbit just a week after my Korea trip, and thats a blessing in disguise. Otherwise, I would have shot more photos and it would have taken forever! I never thought I’d enjoy Kdramas but surprisingly, I got really addicted to one. (Will talk more on that in my last post coming soon.) Another thing that sets this ship apart from most dinner cruise destinations is how clean and pristine the condition of the boat was, and how honestly yummy the food was too! The service was impeccable and the overall experience was top notch- I’d definitely recommend this to first time visitors in Seoul.

Oh by the way, did you notice anything different from my previous post about the same day? If you guessed locks, you’re right! I got my hair treated and colored at Gangnam’s famous hair hospital- Lee Moon Won! I’ve always admired Korean hair, so I figured it was the perfect moment to see the best of the best work their magic hands on restoring health to my damaged mane. The result? Happy, healthy and deliciously (back to) brown hair!

When we first heard that we were headed to a hair hospital, I was kind of confused. I thought we’d go to an actual medical building and see new technologies and machines for hair growth or something. I was in total shock and delight to walk into a high class salon and meet Dr. Lee Moon Won himself! Plus, we all got treated to a hair spa that was out of this world! It was an actual spa- with scents, bed, the best comforter ever- except that the only thing they massaged was my hair. Amaaazing! I felt like a million bucks afterwards!

I love how we also got to try different drinks and snacks that the salon made themselves, which were supposed to be good for our locks too. Such advanced technologies and all in a field I love and care about! Korea is really my true home! Lol

If you enjoyed this trip as much as I did, stay tuned for my last post soon! Promise, it’s worth it!
